A general strike is called in Greece over austerity measures being proposed by the European Union following the ratification of the Lisbon treaty. Tens of thousands of workers, Trade Unionists,immigrants and activists take to the streets for a mass protest. Fighting broke out between protestors and Police at certain points of the demonstration. Missiles and petrol bombs were thrown.
