The EDL and anti fascists mobilise in Walthamstow 1-9-12

The racist English Defence League attempt to march in Walthamstow which they claim is a hotbed for Islamic extremism. A counter demonstaration by Unite Against Facsim and We Are Waltham Forest outnumbered the EDL by ten to one. There were scuffles with Police and arrests on both sides. The EDL were prevented from having their rally by the counter demonstration.
