Achoura is the most important festival in the Shiite Muslim calender. Dahieh was heavily bombed by the Israelis during the 2006 war. It is Hezbollah's biggest stronghold in the country.The ceremony was held in the 'Master of the Martyrs Compound' which was rebuilt after being being destroyed by Israeli fighter jets during the war. Many of the gathering break down as the Iman tells the story of the death of the Shiite Iman Hussein.
